Sharon M. Ritchea, formerly Sharon Satterfield, owner of Back to Basics Nutrition and Dietary Shoppe in Mt. Lebanon, has been in the natural health field since 1985. Troubled with her own poor health, Sharon found guidance through alternative medicine when she discovered how she could help her body heal itself.
She began her studies with the Trinity College of Natural Health where she received her Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Natural Health Professional Degrees along with her Masters of Herbology in 1994. Sharon is a certified Iridologist and Nutritional counselor and has experience in the fields of nutrition, kineseology, reflexology, massage therapy, body works, body systems, homeopathy, Sclerology, and Bach Flower Remedies. Her education on herbal medicines includes Western, Chinese, Native American, and Aurevydic herbs. She was trained in Attitude Healing in Washington, DC and is also the area manager for Nature's Sunshine. Sharon's belief is that body, spirit, and soul (our mind, will, and emotions) are all connected and that in order for one to regain or maintain good health there must be balance.
In addition to her private practice, Sharon can be found in and around the Greater Pittsburgh area lecturing others on how they can live a natural, healthy and balanced life. She has been invited to speak with facilities such as St. Clair Hospital, Magee Women's Hospital, Robert Morris College, and many high schools and small groups throughout the region. Sharon currently resides in Greene County with her newlywed husband, Randy, and has three daughters, six grandsons and three granddaughters.
